My experience in WRITING 1 Class

Actually, writing is one of my hobbies. I would love to write everything, such as writing in my diary even writing a short story or making a poetry. On the other hand, I found it was difficult to write a scientific literature. It is caused by some factors that I could find how to solve them when I studied in WRITING 1 Class.

The first factor that I faced in writing a scientific literature was my knowledge about the topic that I wanted to write. In WRITING 1 Class, I learned that I have to read more sources to help me in writing. For instance, when I wanted to write about koala, I have to read many sources about koala. The more i knew about the topic, the easier I wrote about the topic.

Another difficulty in writing was my ability in understanding about using grammar. When I was in senior high school, my English was not good enough. Until I continued my study in English Department, I began to learn it from it’s basic. In WRITING 1 Class, I had to write a paragraph, then read it aloud in front of the class as the assignment. After I read my paragraph, my lecturer and friends would correct it. They would find many grammatical errors in my writing. It could be solved by practicing more, that was I learned in WRITING 1 Class. By practicing more, I would be better in writing with using necessary grammatical use.

WRITING 1 Class, taught me how to develop a paragraph and the elements of paragraph. I used to practice to write any genres of paragraph and correct it together in the class. Reading more sources would make me became knowledgeable and help me in writing. In addition, practicing more would increase my writing skill.

My expectations in WRITING 2 Class

I have taken this class for three times. The first time I took this class, I got C. Then I took it again to got higher score. But, I failed and got an E for WRITING 2 Class, because I never came to the class. Now I take this class again with some expectations which are, I can learn how to write again and I want to get higher score than before.

It has been lung time that I never practiced to write. I feel it decreases my ability in writing. By taking this class I hope I can remain my writing knowledge. Because, in WRITING 2 Class I learn how to develop an essay, the elements of essay and some genres of essay. So that, it can increase my writing skill.

The second expectation in taking this class is getting higher score than before. As a university student, I really want to get best mark for every class that I take. Therefore I will graduate with great GPA and it will help me when I am looking for job then. After increasing my writing skill, practicing more, so that I will be better in writing and I hope I can get best mark in this class.

In conclusion, i have taken this class twice. Within what I have experienced before, I hope I can learn how to write again an gain my writing skill in WRITING 2 Class. Therefore, I can pass this class with higher score.

My own Narrative Essay: Nightmare

Ami was a senior high school student in Bandung. She lived at a boarding house in Bandung with her best friends. They were Lina, Yanti, and Mia. They came from different cities, Ami from Padang, Lina and yanti came from Medan, and Mia came from Palembang. They used to do their assignment together because they were classmate. They used to help each other. Not only with problems in school, but also with problems in daily life. They also spend weekends together, visited many exciting places or went shopping to buy some interesting things.

One day, after had so many classes, they felt really tired. When they arrived at their boarding house in late afternoon, they fell asleep. Suddenly at midnight, someone knocked the door repeatedly. It woke Ami uo. She was afraid and got Yanti up. She asked Yanti to accompany her to check who was knocked the door. “Yanti, wake up!” Ami said. “Uuh... what’s going on Ami? I’m really sleep...” replied Yanti. “Come on Yanti! Wake up! There is someone knok the door.” Ami tried to make Yanti got up. “What time is it now? Look! There is no one out.” Yanti replied. “You just are dreaming.”

Then, Ami and Yanti went out their bedroom to check who was knocked the door. Slowly, they walked together and brought something to safe them. After they looked around their boarding house, there was no one out of their boarding house. While Ami and Yanti were looking around the boarding house, Mia came to the bedroom from the toilet. At the bedroom, Yanti got angry with Ami. “you just were dreaming Ami! Look!!! You make me will still awake tonight!” Yanti said. “I was not dreaming. It’s really happen.trust me!!” Ami tried to insist Yanti.

Because Ami and Yanti were quarreled and made noisy, Lina and Mia also woke up. “what happen/” Mia said. “It’s midnight. Why don’t you sleep?!” asked Lina. Yanti explained what was happened. Yanti, Lina, and Mia were believed that Ami just was dreaming, but Ami sure that she was not dreaming. It made Ami became anxious. She wanted to found who was knocked the door.

Tomorrow night, Ami tried still awake. She wanted to found who was knocked the door last night, but she felt sleepy and fell a sleep. Suddenly, there was someone walked on the corridor of boarding house. Slowly, Ami tried to check who was on the corridor, she was sure that there was agirl on the corridor. When she was not so far with her, she hit her with something that she brought to safe her, repeatedly. She thought the girl was a thief. The girl who was hit by Ami was shouted because she felt pain. It made everyone in the boarding house woke up.

Yanti turned on the lights and Ami was shocked after she realized that she hit Mia. “Mia???!!”. Ami was shocked. “What are you doing here?!” Ami said. “I just want to go to toilet”.Mia replied. “Are you dreaming?” asked Lina. “Uh... not really” said Mia. “so, it was you knocked the door last night?!” Yanti said. “maybe, because I’m not sure that is me.” Replied Mia. “See!! I’m not dreaming!” Ami said.

1. Ending the story that I want is…..

After Sarah leave dr. Callahan in Vietnam and come back to her family in London. She never can stop try to know about him. Because she is really love him. Then she ask her sister is to find the news about dr. Callahan. Her sister is a journalist and want to go to Cechnya. Sarah know from dr. Callahan‘s letter that he is in Cechnya now. After find the news, her sister tell the news to Sarah. Then Sarah got to Cechnya because she want to meet dr. Callahan. Cechnya is really dangerous place. There is a big war in Cechnya. The soldier kidnapping dr. Callahan and imprisoning him. They do not kill him, because they think they will need him. When Sarah want to help him, the soldier preventing him. They almost arrive at PMI’s camp. Suddenly Sarah get an accident. Fortunately a group of volunteer come to help them. Next, when Sarah come back to her house, Sarah and her husband divorce. And then, she marry with dr. Callahan. They life happily forever. Together they built their own fundraiser organization to support relief efforts and help so many people need to help in this world.

2. My favorite character is….

In this movie I like dr. Callahan. Because he is a hard-worker. He never give up to work to help other people that need to help. And also, he dedicate his life to be volunteer though it will be dangerous for him. He make me know that so many people in this world need to help.

Bukittinggi is one of the largest cities in West Sumatra. It is located near the volcanous mount Singgalang and mount Marapi. The central landmark in Bukittinggi is “Jam Gadang”, it is the clock tower built by Dutch in 1926 with stylized roof, standing in the town square.

If you want to refresh your mind, you should visit Bukittinggi. It is a popular city with many interesting tourism places. Such as, Sianok canyon and Japanese caves. Japanese caves is a network of underground bunkors and tunnels built by Japanese during World War II.

Beside that, there is Bundo Kanduang park. It is a park including a replica of “Rumah Gadang” used as a museum of Minangkabau culture and zoo. The Dutch hilltop out post Fort De Kock connect to the zoo by the Limpapeh pedestrian overpass.

Also there are “Pasar atas” and “Pasar bawah”. They are traditional markets in downtown where you can buy many kinds of souvenir. That is all about Bukitinggi. So, you should not miss to visit Bukittinggi, “The Heart of Highlands”.

Spending My Time with My friends

Because I am very busy with my schedule everyday, sometimes it makes me bored. When I have free time on weekends or vacation, I spend My time with my friends. We hang out together. If we have much money, we spend it by shopping. We go shopping to Andalas plaza, Basko grand mall, Matahari department store, and etc. We buy all of things that we like.

But if we only have few money, we just spent our time at interesting place, which do not need much money such as going to the beach. We can do everything there. Such as talking about something while sitting together on the sail, playing with waves, and etc. I have an impression experience. When my friends and I made a surprise party for my friend’s birthday at the beach. Sometimes we can spend our time at our friend’s house. It gives us a lot of fun. We can not forget it.
